ABOUT APGA
Golf in JapanConnected across Asia-Pacific
APGA is a Japan-based non-profit dedicated to advancing international exchange through golf.
We work at the intersection of course heritage, regional culture and cross-border participation. By bringing courses, players, families, professionals and institutions together through thoughtfully designed programmes, we help build enduring relationships between Japan and Asia-Pacific.
A fairway to the world
WHY APGA
Where Japan’s golf heritagemeets a growing region
Golf creates a rare kind of common ground: competitive, social and deeply shaped by place.
Japan has one of the world’s most distinctive golf cultures—mature playing environments, courses of architectural and historical significance, and traditions of etiquette and hospitality refined over generations. Across Asia-Pacific, participation continues to grow, as do expectations for quality, learning and cultural depth.
APGA exists to turn that natural affinity into an informed, durable network. We produce multilingual editorial, develop international programmes and form long-term partnerships so that golf in Japan is understood in context—experienced as more than another golf destination—and participants can engage more meaningfully with the courses and communities behind it.

LOOKING AHEAD
A regional networkrooted in golf in Japan
Our long-term ambition is a connected Asia-Pacific network with golf in Japan as its foundation.
In that network, distinguished Japanese courses gain the international recognition their character and quality merit; players and families engage with Japan at greater depth; and professionals and institutions across the region find practical ways to work together over time.
The APGA Challenge, junior development, family exchange and the international positioning of Japanese courses are individual expressions of that wider ambition.
